Matthew is an emerging sport and exercise science practitioner who is passionate about providing individuals from all backgrounds with a high level of thorough and precision services in healthcare and sports performance.
He is in the final stages of completing a Bachelor of Sport & Exercise Science degree at Deakin University, and will continue postgraduate studies in 2021, undertaking a Masters in Exercise Physiology at Deakin University.
Matthew interests and clinical focus includes:
- Capacity building and therapeutic support services (strength; mobility; balance; stamina) for individuals affected by disabilities (NDIS).
- Injury prevention and management for athletes.
- Exercise therapy for those affected by chronic conditions; particularly metabolic health.
- Sports high performance assessments, programs and monitoring; particularly athletics; triathlon; football; motor racing.
- Children's growth and development
- Exercise and aging.
- VO2max, anaerobic threshold, running economy.
